Purpose & Vision

The Simeon Company exists to cultivate a sustained community of seasoned prayer ministers who embody maturity, wisdom, and spiritual depth. These leaders serve as a “wisdom center” within ECMC, providing mutual support for fellow company members, and investing intentionally in the next generation of prayer ministers through discipleship, intercession, and relational formation.

Rooted in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit, the Simeon Company aims to:

  • Provide a sacred space for veteran prayer ministers to impart wisdom, truth, and encouragement.

  • Strengthen ECMC’s mission through a stable, mutually supportive community marked by spiritual maturity and love.

  • Foster intergenerational continuity in prayer ministry, ensuring that the richness of our heritage is carried forward.

Guiding Principles

  • Recognize the depth, experience, and life-season of members, seeking to empower rather than burden.

  • Emphasize spiritual influence, mentoring, and presence rather than administrative commitments.

  • Draw on the gifts, wisdom, and spiritual authority each member offers.

  • Members may choose their level of engagement while maintaining the integrity of the Company.

Scriptural Foundation

Luke 2:26–30

Simeon’s Spirit-led anticipation and joyful blessing of Jesus anchors this Company in patient faithfulness and prophetic hope.

Colossians 2:2–3

A call to encourage one another in love so that together we may know Christ, in whom are hidden all treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Psalm 92:12–15

A vision of lifelong fruitfulness—bearing fruit even in old age, flourishing in God’s courts, and proclaiming His faithfulness.

Engagement Structure

    • Presentation responsibilities rotate monthly.

  • *For trained prayer ministers only

    Before Each Encounter:

    • 1–2 months prior, participating members are assigned 1–3 apprentices.

    • Simeon Company mentors meet with apprentice(s) at least three times before the event for spiritual preparation, wisdom-sharing, questions, testimony preparation if applicable, and quiz review.

    During the Encounter Weekend:

    • Provide ongoing intercession for apprentices.

    After the Encounter:

    • Debrief within two weeks.

    • Meet again one month later.

    • For apprentices sharing testimonies, assist in discerning content and preparing spiritually, offering ministry as needed.
